Metropolis Elementary School 4th grade students recently read Her Own Two Feet, a true story of a Rwandan girl's brave fight to walk. The author, Meredith Davis, conducted a virtual visit with MES students. In the visit, she not only shared updates about Rebeka's journey, but also talked with students about using the theme "Chance comes once" and "Strong like a butterfly" in their daily lives. She also emphasized the writing process, including a glimpse of writing from the perspective of an author. In addition, Meredith Davis is the recent author of a new fictional series, Minor Miracle (Book 1) and Minor Rescue (Book 2).
